Using multiple disiplines according to your dog's condition.

Is your dog overweight or out of shape? Looking to improve fitness for a more enriched life? With dedication, the right guidance and use of specialised equipment we can develop appropriate exercises to turn your couch potato into an athlete. With a tailored exercise plan, we can help your best friend get fit and shed some weight for a more enriched life.

It is important to recognise your dog’s current fitness level and body score condition. It is easy to feel slightly bias regarding your dog’s weight, but carrying excess weight can result in other associated health concerns.
This may include extra pressure or damage to joints, increased incidence, and earlier onset of arthritis, additional pressure on cardiovascular system and other health related issues.

Whilst we are not nutritionists, and cannot provide specific advice regarding your dog’s nutrition. We can tailor a fitness regime in collaboration with a recommended nutritionist or your veterinarian to get your dog into top shape.

See linked image of how to body score your dog, and how to tell how your dog currently stacks up against the ideal weight. As their owner and dog parent, it should be your priority to ensure you do the best you can for your dog to enrich their life, so they can be with you fitter and hopefully longer.

Important information

The safety and wellbeing of the dog is of the highest importance. Before treatment can commence, we will need to assess various factors to ensure there are no contraindications to treatment. As we are not veterinarians, we cannot diagnose conditions, perform surgery or prescribe medications. We will however work alongside your veterinarian, to ensure we provide the right treatment for your dog’s condition.
As part of our assessment prior to starting therapy we may require your dog's full health history and veterinary records, including imagery (x-rays, CT scans, etc.), details of medications and any other supporting documents you can provide.
This will enable us to develop the safest and most effective treatment plan using therapies which complement their veterinary care to help improve your dog's condition.
We will provide advice on best practice for environment and exercise according to your dog’s condition following treatment, with ongoing support as required.
